[General] Linux with GPON using PPPoE

I don't have GPON myself but I know someone who does (and uses Linux). I'll
have him poke at it and let you know how it goes with him.

If you could borrow someone's PPPoE router and connect, you'd be able to see
the verbose messages and see what's missing on your end.

I'll also ask the guys at QNet to see if there's a specific requirement.
