Thanks Majed, its better than nothing indeed. i can see from your graphs that KEMS still represents the odd-man-out and FT and Qnet being in harmony for some reason.

I was hoping for more in depth info, i guess im too optimistic.....still.

Faisal,
I have good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news first: There's no fail-safe policy between ISPs. If an ISP goes down, it has to take care of its customers and traffic is not rerouted to other ISPs. The same applies during International cable cuts. It's up to the ISP to handle its users (home & enterprise) during such a crisis. Other ISPs do not sell bandwidth to each other either during problems.

The good news, my buddy at QualityNet (BoJacob) provided me with graphs of traffic flowing through QNet's network from other ISPs. The graphs are attached.

Nothing is public nor has a diagram.
I'll ask again and see if they could somehow share the information through the networking department, but I doubt they'll release such info, being the superficial paranoids that they are (the dept, not my friends :p)

Thanks again Majed, can this be found published anywhere? the size of the bandwidth shared, redundancy, fail-safe policy, or anything at all?

Faisal,

My buddy at one of the ISPs tells me that each ISP is connected to the
others' main router. This includes KEMS, QualityNet, FastTelco &

United Networks.
