Faisal,

I don't want to venture into making my own thing and diving into
compiling stuff because that's gonna be messy.

I've tried PBX in a Flash and they have customized scripts that do the
whole compilation process for you, and even update to the latest
source and download latest patches, if any. So you see, all the dirty
work that I was supposed to do, has already been taken care of by
PBXiaF.

I did try AsterisNow but it doesn't come with Asterisk 1.6, and lacked
a few features which pushed me away from it.

If I can't figure out this channel issue, I might as well do what you
did and setup my own box. That's gonna take me about 6 days to get it
up & running, since I'm still having issues with getting a ring-tone
on trixbox 2.8 and PBXiaF.

Or I might just go back to using Asterisk 1.4 on PBX in a Flash...
