I see that IBM WebSphere has barged in here as well. I've seen what
WebSphere portals can do and how easy it can done. But you pay a hefty
lump-sum... more than 2 kidneys in the black-market! (Around $50,000 per
kidney)
In 2006, when I first graduated, I was contacted by a manager whose name I
can't remember unfortunately, and he asked me if I'd like to join a team
that will build software for the stock exchange of Kuwait using Java, on top
of IBM WebSphere. I have no clue how far they went with that; whether it was
implemented or not, but at least someone somewhere has been thinking the
right way and that's a good ray of hope!
