The LAN isn't my concern, as you can define the hostname in the hosts
file (*nix & Windows).
If you can define a hostname, then you can get yourself free Dynamic
DNS from no-ip.com or dyndns. This way, people outside (Internet) can
resolve your domain name to your IP, always.
