Its a normal PCI card that looks like an internal modem but with 4 RJ11 sockets, the 4 RJ11 sockets are normally the small phone sockets we all know. I collected my card in NewYork but i see no reasons customs should give you any trouble, just tell them its a multi modem card. AFIC only trouble they might give you if you bring the digital E1 cards used in making Multi Digital PBX with hunting groups like the commercial 18xxxxx which you can also run it with Linux and Asterisk.

 Remember to buy the FXO/FXS modules, go with one FXO and one FXS so you can be familiar with it although i suggest you install Trixbox or Asterisk just to be familiar with Linux VoIP.

Where did you buy the PCI card from? Did you have any issues bringing
it through the customs?

I saw some of Digium's cards being sold on Amazon...
