OK, dudes, seriously, who takes that moron Dvorak on any matter other
than a joke??? He has no clue what he's saying, he's just a paranoid
idiot, who makes speculations & questions everyones motives.
If you think that's just me, check out what the Slashdot comments say
about that moron:

*IF* Oracle *sent* Sun on its behalf to destroy MySQL, don't you think
the open-source community would've objected? OK, forget the community;
don't you think Google would've objected and bought MySQL itself???
Google surely has the cash for it .. heck, it's bidding billions on a
wireless frequency, why wouldn't buy the database that it uses?

As for Dvorak's *suspecious* list of acquisitions, I can justify most
of their buyouts easily! The Cluster Filesystem Inc, would greatly
help in building a clustered filesystem for high-availability setups,
where the filesystem is shared, or scattered on different boxes.
If you look at each acquired company's speciality, you'll notice that
Sun was NOT a competitor to it, so clearly, it's not out there to
destroy these companies, but rather enhance its set of services &
hardware.
August 2005: Sun acquired StorageTek. Last year, Sun started shipping
their black-boxed datacenters & storage solutions ... surprise? Not
really!
