>From what I have understood of the ISO's post, is that the OOXML
format has reached the votes it needs to be a standard, but is yet NOT
a standard.
There's a period of 2 months where international bodies can object to
this and reject it.

Personally, I think since the whole process was flawed and seems like
the ISO board was deeply bribed, I highly doubt that the rejection
will go through and that the world will suffer from the MS freakin
format.
